But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.

Swiss Healthcare a Model for the USA?

Posted in Uncategorized on November 10, 2008 by coffedrink

Now that Healthcare reform is going to happen what kind of reform will it be.  Should healthcare be available to everyone Yes!  But to what ends.  What needs to be addressed is what drives the cost of Healthcare, my simple answer insurance companies.  If we reform healthcare with out addressing the insurance companies then we have done nothing but line the pockets of insurance company executives and share holders pockets.
We also need to look at the overhead of turning Healthcare into a Government agency.  Medicare has a 44%% overhead that means for every dollar that comes out of yours and mine pockets only 56 cents actually goes to paying for healthcare, the rest is administrative costs.  For Healthcare to be cost effective we need to get the administrative costs below 20%.
Remember when Texas made Car insurance required the insurance companies said that the rates would go down.  Did that happen no the rates went up because they had a great lobby system and more money in place than the general public who ended up footing the bill?
excepts from the Healthcare Economist November 27, 2007

In the Swiss Healthcare system:

  • there is an insurance mandate for all individuals,
  • the government defines a what the insurance benefit will be for all standard health insurers,
  • insurance companies are not allowed to deny coverage to any individual, Read more »

Why do I have a Truck?

Posted in Uncategorized on November 10, 2008 by coffedrink

The only reason is because it is under lease and it’s not up until Sept of 2009.  This is how often I use my truck the Registration ran out in Aug and the Inspection in September.  I have not driven it since before then.   Just throwing Money away, does anyone know how to get out of a lease.
